Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Executive with a strong track record in software sales to join our leadership sales team.

This is a fast-growing software company at the forefront of digital innovation, with a strong product portfolio and a collaborative, ambitious team culture.

This is a high-impact, high-reward role offering autonomy to make a real difference and shape the next phase of our growth.

The ideal candidate will bring 15 years of experience in enterprise software or IT solutions sales, with a proven ability to consistently close large, complex deals, and ideally having billed $1M gross profit annually.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Sales Leadership : Drive revenue growth through strategic sales of enterprise software solutions across South Africa and broader regions as applicable.
  2. Client Acquisition & Retention : Identify, pursue, and close new enterprise accounts while deepening relationships with existing clients.
  3. Quota Attainment : Consistently meet or exceed annual sales quotas (targeting $1M GP).
  4. Solution Selling : Consultatively sell complex IT software products and solutions tailored to clients' needs and environments.
  5. Pipeline Management : Build and maintain a strong, qualified sales pipeline and accurate forecasting.
  6. Stakeholder Engagement : Navigate C-level conversations and influence decision-making across IT procurement and business leadership.
  7. Team Collaboration : Work closely with presales, marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction and solution alignment.
  8. Market Insight : Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving client needs to refine go-to-market strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of software sales experience with a focus on enterprise-level accounts.
  • Proven track record of individual annual sales of $1M in gross profit or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise software sales, including SaaS, cloud solutions, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to manage long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience in executive-level engagements.
  • Self-starter mindset with high motivation, resilience, and autonomy.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience in the South African and broader African enterprise software markets.
  • Exposure to verticals such as finance, telecoms, etc.
