Overview

We are currently looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our Enhance team. This team focuses on empowering studios to foster collaborative thinking and improve studio quality maturity. By leveraging quality frameworks, we help our partner game studios grow organically and achieve faster time to market for their current and future portfolios.

Responsibilities

As an SQE for Enhance, your focus will be on reviewing and implementing testing processes on complex projects. You will be involved in test preparation, planning, supporting junior team members, and reviewing and guiding test coverage. Additionally, you will help with test completion reviews, improve testing processes, and refine the department's testing baseline and knowledge base.

Your duties include conducting test execution, preparing test environments, troubleshooting projects, detecting and tracking defects, and managing stakeholders to ensure quality delivery and customer confidence.

Key Activities

1. Test Preparation and Planning: Establish and train teams on effort estimation, plan for risks, and complete test planning proactively.
2. Test Completion, Review, and Improvement: Review test artifacts, improve test strategies, and refine test cases based on testing insights.
3. Test Execution: Analyze test results, implement improvements, and escalate issues as needed.
4. Test Environment Setup: Set up and troubleshoot environments for simple and medium projects, escalate issues appropriately.
5. Defect Management: Evaluate defect reports, prevent latent defects, and ensure effective defect tracking.
6. Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholders effectively, inspire confidence, and represent testing standards.
7. Standards and Processes: Implement and optimize testing standards and processes.

Leadership and Development

Adapt to change, share knowledge, and mentor team members. Provide training and mentorship on test strategies, including live testing and load/performance testing.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant technical testing experience.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Automation experience and creating unit tests are highly advantageous.
