Job Description

Responsibilities:

Bug Handling
  • Receive and triage bug tickets from Sales and Support.
  • Reproduce issues on test environments.
  • Restore and mount PostgreSQL database dumps to investigate customer-specific bugs.
  • Extend tickets with additional details and escalate to Development for resolution.
  • Verify that bug fixes work as expected.
  • Update changelogs and hand over resolved issues to Support/Sales.
Feature Testing
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to understand new features.
  • Test backend API endpoints using tools like Postman or similar to ensure they meet frontend requirements.
  • Create comprehensive manual test cases for all new features.
  • Perform end-to-end testing based on test cases.
Release Testing
  • Conduct full application testing before each minor or major release, following structured test cases.
  • Document test results, report issues, and ensure application stability.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software Quality Assurance.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of HTTPS, REST, and JSON.
  • Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and usability testing.
  • Proficiency in manual test creation and execution.

Advantageous:

  • Basic SQL knowledge for querying databases and verifying data integrity.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git to track changes and collaborate with developers.
  • Experience with Jira for bug tracking and test case management (TestRail experience is a plus).
