Software Product Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION

Product Management at SubjectWell is responsible for developing the Products and Services that help patients get enrolled faster in Clinical Trials all over the world. As a Product Manager in the Cape Town office, your focus will be on developing new Services offerings that enable our Study Site partners to track, screen, and stay in touch with trial candidates throughout the enrollment process. This role requires high levels of initiative: you will be expected to proactively suggest new features and elicit feedback from customers and internal stakeholders. You will own projects from start to finish. Working with the Senior Product Manager, you will define and prioritize the initiatives that impact patient lives and contribute to the development of cutting-edge medical care.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Meet regularly with stakeholders and customers to gather feature requirements and feedback.
• Write product requirement documents clearly defining medium-duration projects (1-2 quarters).
• Work with the Senior Product Manager to prioritise initiatives for the quarterly roadmap.
• Work closely with a dedicated software development team to deliver high-quality applications on time and to specifications.
• Ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and trained on new releases.
• Track the success of deployed features and iterate for continuous improvement.
• Write epics and well-structured user stories.
• Interface with external vendors and partners.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

• 1+ years of Product Management experience.
• Experience launching and maintaining scalable software products.
• Solid understanding of technology business fundamentals.
• Ability to synthesize and weigh inputs from multiple diverse stakeholders.
• Strong Project Management skills.
• High written and verbal communications acuity.
• Has had responsibility over a product line or major feature set.
• Experience in Healthcare or Medical industry is a plus, but not required.
• Strong organisation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and proactively with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work with a team to support the delivery of a high-performance culture.
