Software Integration Engineer

My client is an award-winning tech company with partners in South Africa and the USA.

They are seeking to employ an Integration Engineer responsible for delivering integration solutions built on their platform to their direct clients.

If you understand databases and APIs, have some scripting experience, enjoy working with people, possess excellent communication skills, and have top-notch time management, this role is for you!

Tech Stack :

The platform is built on .NET 8 and runs on public clouds on Azure in South Africa, Europe, and the US. Customers can also opt for on-premise deployments. Azure services used include VMs, Azure Storage, Key Vault, and App Gateway. Integration into GitHub is required, as workflows are stored there. Building is done in Visual Studio and VS Code, with code pushed and issues & PRs managed in GitHub, and CI/CD through Azure DevOps with extensive use of Terraform.

Responsibilities :

1. Configuring endpoint access for customer apps and services (test and production environments).
2. Iterative implementation of solutions by visually building out integrations.
3. Engaging with clients to help QA the solution and bring it to production readiness.
4. Occasional support with partners on more complex scenarios.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Prior experience scoping software and diagnosing software issues (e.g., working as a BA or software tester).
• Sufficient technical background to understand principles such as HTTP, SQL databases, Filesystems, FTP, REST, SOAP.
• SQL database or relational database skills.
• Scripting experience (language not specified).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is very helpful.
