Software Engineer III

BASIC FUNCTIONS : This position involves performing moderately difficult research, design, and software development tasks within a specific software functional area or product line. The candidate should be capable of working on individual tasks, solving problems, designing program flow, effective coding, and unit testing.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS :

• Proficiency with data manipulation languages
• Understanding of data modeling principles and ability to work with complex data models
• Proficiency in development languages including Java / J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C / C++, HTML, XML, SQL, and familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and .Net environments
• Knowledge of industry best practices such as code coverage and test-driven development
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external technical resources
• Experience in writing and reviewing detailed specifications for moderately complex system components
• Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile and Waterfall
• Understanding of data storage subsystems
• Ability to complete moderately complex bug fixes
• Good oral and written communication skills

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Collaborate with technical team members to finalize requirements
• Translate product requirements into software designs
• Implement development processes, coding best practices, and conduct code reviews
• Operate across various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while engaging stakeholders
• Resolve technical issues as they arise
• Stay updated on new technological developments
• Complete bug fixes and other duties as assigned
