As a Software Engineer in the Building Automation department, you'll develop and program high-quality software solutions for building management and energy systems. You'll work with top-tier platforms like Priva, Schneider Electric, Distech Controls, and Siemens S7/WinCC, and contribute to the next generation of energy software, including our in-house platform, InsiteSuite.

You'll collaborate with engineers, commissioning specialists, project managers, and academic partners to deliver tailor-made solutions for smart, sustainable buildings

Clear are looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for control technology and energy systems to help my client push the boundaries of smart building software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing software functionality for smart buildings and intelligent control systems;
  • Programming Controllers and Building Management Systems (BMS) tailored to specific building and user needs;
  • Creating advanced control logic for complex energy systems, contributing to optimal energy performance;
  • Setting up and integrating Energy Monitoring Systems (EMS) to enable real-time performance tracking and energy optimization;
  • Customizing building automation software solutions based on project specifications and customer requirements;

Ideal Candidate

  • A minimum MBO+ or HBO working and thinking level, preferably with a degree in Measurement & Control Technology, Electrical Engineering (E), Mechanical Engineering (WTB), Installation Technology, or Technical Automation;
  • A strong affinity for technology and installation processes, particularly in the field of measurement and control systems;
  • Familiarity or experience with Priva, Schneider Electric, Distech Controls, and/or Siemens S7 is a plus;
  • Solid ICT and software knowledge, with the ability to understand and work with system integration and automation platforms;
