Communicate Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate Software Engineer in Cape Town to design, develop, and evolve scalable software solutions using React, TypeScript, .NET and C#. You’ll work in a high-performing team delivering value to business stakeholders.

You’ll contribute to architecture, work within Agile squads, write clean tests, and mentor peers while implementing robust frontend and backend integrations with RESTful APIs and MS SQL Server. Salary is market-aligned.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong backend development using .NET and C#.
• Experience integrating frontend with RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server and stored procedures.
• Familiarity with design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.

We're looking for an experienced Intermediate Software Engineer to join a high-performing technology team where you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and evolving modern software solutions that deliver real business value.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications
• Collaborating with Product Managers and stakeholders to transform business requirements into technical solutions
• Contributing to architecture, technical design, and technology strategy
• Building flexible, maintainable, and future-proof software solutions
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code using industry best practices
• Conducting code reviews and championing quality engineering standards
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges
• Driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and development practices
• Mentoring and supporting fellow engineers
• Working within Agile teams to deliver high-quality products

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience with React and TypeScript
• Strong backend development experience using .NET and C#
• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server, including queries and stored procedures
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and best practices
