Job summary

impact.com is looking for an experienced software engineer to help replace a legacy monolith with a modular monolith and event-driven services. You will contribute to solving large, complex problems using simple, elegant solutions and collaborate across product, sales, and operations.

The role emphasizes modern software engineering practices, domain-driven design, and continuous improvement, with a hybrid work environment and strong focus on learning and growth.

Qualifications

• Solid foundations in computer science and software engineering (algorithms, data structures, system design, agile approaches).
• 4+ years' experience in software development.
• Interest in domain-driven design (strategic & tactical).
• Familiarity with hexagonal/ports-and-adapters architecture.
• Experience with object-oriented and functional programming concepts.
• Passion for writing clean, simple, and readable code.
• Understanding of test-driven development and eagerness to grow in this area.
• Exposure to or interest in event-driven architectures.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to own work across disciplines.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
