Job summary

Catch in Johannesburg is seeking a dynamic software developer to join our Johannesburg Office. The role focuses on building modular code, RESTful micro-services, and automated testing while collaborating with management to deliver practical business outcomes.

You will work with OO languages such as Salesforce/Java Spring, Agile processes, and modern tooling (Postman, Git, SQL, AWS). Experience with development lifecycles and a proactive learning attitude is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in OO coding and learning new languages and tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative work environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop readable, maintainable, and modular code using AWS services, Postman, Git, and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop readable, maintainable, and modular code (including using AWS services,Postman, Git, SQL etc.)
• Design, develop and implement accurate test plans
• Development and integration of RESTful Micro-services
• Prioritize work items and deliverables against “big picture” thinking
• Work effectively with senior management to deliver outcomes
• Keep an eye on emerging tools, technologies, and methods and how these might benefitand/or create new opportunities for the business.
• Take part in maturing the company software development lifecycle by implementing andencouraging practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration and automating repeated tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications
