Logistics Coordinator, Somerset West (FRUIT EXPORTS) - Junior and Senior Coordinator

Our client, an international Fruit Exporter, is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Somerset West to assist with the logistical functions in the supply chain management from all fruit exports from the packing facility to the international clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage logistics bookings, shipments, and customer information
2. Coordinate logistics
3. Follow up on shipments
4. Day-to-day logistics management
5. Arrangements with shipping lines and transporters
6. Coordinate logistics processes with cold store
7. Send loading instructions to depots
8. Monitor and track shipments
9. Prepare shipping orders, invoices, and customs paperwork
10. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and requirements
11. Handle logistics administrative tasks related to bookings
12. Manage data entry, filing, and maintain records
13. Assist in billing discrepancies or disputes related to logistics
14. Stay updated on industry regulations in the fruit industry
15. Contribute to the continuous improvement of booking processes and procedures
16. Stock management
17. Daily reports to suppliers and receivers

Qualifications:

1. Matric with Logistics degree or similar
2. Previous experience in logistics in the fruit export industry
3. Strong knowledge of export procedures, documentation, and shipping regulations
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills
5. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling bookings and documentation
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
7. Proficient in computer systems and software
8. Problem-solving skills
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing environments
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
11. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
