Job summary

Jobtailor in Cape Town is seeking a capable full-stack developer to design, build, and maintain internal web applications and REST APIs. The role blends software development with Microsoft cloud and infrastructure support to drive internal solutions and modern IT operations.

You will develop, troubleshoot, and optimize MySQL databases, automate tasks with PowerShell and Bash, and administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive) in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Responsible for designing custom internal applications, building APIs, and delivering hands-on support across Azure, Microsoft 365, and network environments.

• Support Windows Server infrastructure, IIS web servers, SSL certificates, and core networking fundamentals.
• Execute PowerShell and Bash scripts to drive process automation and task scheduling.
• Provide technical user support across Microsoft Office environments and remote platforms.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude) to optimize workflows.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Higher Education Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Background Check Clearances: Ability to pass Qualification Authenticity Checks, Credit Reference Checks, Criminal Checks, Police Clearance Certificate, Driver's Licence Authentication, and Psychometric Testing.
• Willingness to complete an interview practical test involving web application development, IIS troubleshooting, PowerShell scripting, M365 user configuration, Azure VM connectivity diagnosis, and environment security strategies.
