Job summary
NTT DATA is seeking a highly skilled Software Applications Development Engineer to design, build, modernize, and optimize cloud-native applications and platforms for enterprise customers. This role combines software engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, AI-driven development, and infrastructure automation to deliver scalable and secure solutions across AWS, Azure and GCP.
The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud technologies and modern application development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering and application development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS cloud experience.
- Experience delivering cloud-native solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with AWS ECS, Fargate, Control Tower, Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience in cloud migration and modernization projects.
- Experience developing AI-enabled or Generative AI solutions is advantageous.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Experience with Linux environments and cloud operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs.
- Develop responsive web applications using React.
- Design microservices-based architectures on container platforms.
- Collaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, and customers.
- Design, deploy, and manage solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Implement AWS-native services (ECS, Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3).
- Participate in cloud migration and modernization engagements.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Develop AI-powered solutions using Bedrock or similar.
- Produce high-quality documentation and diagrams.

- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and other modern programming languages.
- Develop responsive web applications using React and modern front-end frameworks.
- Design and implement microservices-based architectures running on container platforms.
- Collaborate with solution architects, cloud engineers, and customers to define technical requirements and solution designs.
- Design, deploy, and manage solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

- Implement platform engineering best practices and reusable infrastructure patterns.
- Maintain cloud governance and compliance standards.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:
- GitHub
- AWS Developer Tools
- Modern DevOps tooling
- Implement automated testing, deployment, and release management practices.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery across cloud environments.
- Drive DevSecOps best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
- Design and develop AI-powered applications using:
- Amazon Bedrock
- AWS AI/ML Services
- Lang Graph
- Integrate Generative AI capabilities into customer solutions.
- Build intelligent workflows, agents, and business automation solutions.
- Collaborate with customers to identify AI use cases and implementation opportunities.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Ensure applications meet quality, security, and performance standards.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and cross-functional teams.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and architectural diagrams.
- Continuously evaluate emerging cloud and AI technologies.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and cloud-native architecture.
- Strong proficiency in:

- Experience with modern front-end development using:
- React
- HTML5

- Experience building RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies and cloud-native development patterns.
- Experience with:
- AWS ECS

- Kubernetes (advantageous)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of cloud networking, security, identity management, and observability.
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
- Knowledge of Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience delivering cloud modernization and migration initiatives.
- Understanding of cloud governance frameworks and multi-account strategies.
- Familiarity with AWS Control Tower and cloud landing zone implementations.
- Exposure to Generative AI technologies.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock or comparable AI platforms.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, AI orchestration frameworks, and agent-based architectures.
- Experience with LangGraph or related AI workflow frameworks is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
