The Social Worker will assist the Senior Social Worker with staff management programme implementation staff wellness and do administration work.
Skills : Staff Management :
- Conduct 90 days reviews discussions with Social Auxiliary Workers (SAW).
- Conduct monthly SAW check-in to assess employees progress towards their contributions.
- Conduct performance appraisal discussions twice a year.
- Conduct staff meetings with the SAW on a weekly basis.
- Coordinate training sessions with SAW.
- Watch the game for SAW address issues of concerns and constantly updating supervision file.
- Conduct supervision sessions with a SAW.
- Attend monthly meetings conducted by the Senior Social Worker.
Administration :
- Submit a monthly report to the Senior Social Worker.
- Submit weekly stats to the Data Capturer.
- Monitor the capturing of Social Support Services (SSS) stats on Soweto Care System.
- Provide psychosocial support services to beneficiaries.
- Conduct counselling sessions for beneficiaries.
- Conduct Tree of Life Child Protection workshops Disability Sensitisation and Sexual Harassment workshop for beneficiaries as and when needed.
- Conduct home visits.
- Conduct parenting and fatherhood workshops.
- Conduct screening and assessment of beneficiaries to receive food parcels.
- Collaborate with primary health care officer in provision of PHC interventions.
External and Internal Collaboration :
- Collaborate with external NGOs / Social Workers and Service Providers to keep abreast with effective methods of interventions.
- Work together with other core programmes within the respective centre to form a collective whole in supporting the success of a centre (MDT).
- Work together with all relevant stakeholders within the organisation to provide an effective holistic approach in dealing with each case.
Staff Wellness :
- Coordinate the primary healthcare interventions for staff.
- Facilitate psychosocial support services to SSS and core programme staff as and when needed.
- Participate in staff wellness interventions organised by People Department.
- Ensure quarterly team building for SSS team.
