Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work is mandatory.
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professionals (SACSSP) required.
• Proven experience in community-based social work or case management.
• Strong understanding of social welfare policies and relevant legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive social assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide counseling, support, and crisis intervention services to individuals and families.
• Facilitate referrals to external agencies and resources for services such as housing, healthcare, and employment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting all interventions and progress.
• Advocate for client rights and access to social services, ensuring equitable treatment.
