Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with SACSSP is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of social work experience, preferably in community settings.
• Strong knowledge of welfare systems, resources, and relevant legislation.

About the Role

This role is central to providing direct services, counseling, and resource navigation to individuals and families facing various social challenges within the Northern Cape . You will work collaboratively with community members, local agencies, and the charity's programs to empower clients and foster well-being. The ideal candidate is empathetic, possesses strong casework skills, and is committed to advocating for vulnerable populations and promoting social justice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments to identify needs, strengths, and appropriate support plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to clients facing diverse personal and social issues.
• Connect clients with relevant community resources, services, and support networks.
• Develop and implement case management plans, monitoring client progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to essential services.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive client care.

Requirements

• Registered Social Worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in social work practice, preferably in community-based settings.
• Strong knowledge of social welfare systems, community resources, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in case management and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a challenging environment.
