Job Description

Qualifications:

  1. Formal tertiary qualification in Social Work (e.g., Bachelor of Social Work) that allows professional registration with the SACSSP.
  2. Registration with the SACSSP as a Social Worker.
  3. A minimum of 7 years appropriate experience in social work after registration as a Social Worker with the SACSSP.

Recommendation:

A valid code B driving licence.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Provide social work services related to the care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities through relevant programmes.
  2. Address issues that could lead to or stem from social instability.
  3. Supervise employees, including social workers, social auxiliary workers, and volunteers, to ensure effective service delivery.
  4. Stay updated with new developments in the social work field.
  5. Supervise administrative functions within the unit and undertake higher-level administrative responsibilities.

Remuneration

R - R per annum (OSD as prescribed)
