About the Role
Be an integral part of a team that re-shapes the online video market in South Africa.
You will be responsible for making sure each of the Partner Managers have the tools and support required to execute active projects and client needs. In your own project team, you ensure that the needs of your clients are met, which includes finding solutions through innovative digital strategies, campaign execution, and coordination of always-on activities through the support of your team; a digital content manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans to meet customer requests across multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube etc).
- Lead the compilation of documents such as content calendars and decks, working with clients on feedback and final approvals.
- Project manage your content team (copywriter, content creative, paid media specialist, junior partner manager, community manager) to deliver assets as per brief and strategy.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and propose new tools and processes.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of our business, offerings, competitors, and industry.
- Familiarize yourself with YouTube as a platform and execute related tasks with team support where needed.
- Strategize and implement other digital marketing efforts such as email marketing campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with platform and industry news and insights.
- Research current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
- Presentation of monthly reports to reflect on strategy and content performance for each brand and platform.
- Manage Partner Managers to maintain a high standard of platform and YouTube expertise, ensuring they feel energized and deliver excellent value to the business.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Matric certificate.
- A qualification in Digital Marketing, Advertising, or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ Years experience in account management/project management/digital marketing or related experience.
- YouTube Specialist: Proficiency in leveraging YouTube for brand building, including building strategies, executing SEO, running ads, uploads, analytics, copyright, and monetization set-up/management.
- Strong knowledge of other social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn for digital marketing.
- Experience working closely with clients on brand projects and managing client expectations and deliverables.
- Proficiency in Google workspace: Google Docs, Google Sheets.
- Brief knowledge of creating presentations on Canva.
- Experience overseeing simultaneous and multiple projects/tasks.
- Leadership skills, task delegation, and project completion from start to finish meeting client expectations and deliverables.
- Understanding of current market trends.
- Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Stable high-speed internet connection.
- Own reliable transport with valid driver's license – essential.
- South African with a valid South African ID.
- Passion for YouTube and online video.
