Our renowned and dynamic client in the luxury travel and tourism sector is on the lookout for a passionate and creative Social Media Marketing Specialist to join their team. In this exciting role, you’ll become the digital voice of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations, crafting content that stops the scroll, captures the imagination, and turns followers into loyal guests. As a digital storyteller, you’ll blend creativity, strategy, and passion to bring their brand to life across social media, email campaigns, and engaging content platforms.

Key Responsibilities
SOCIAL MEDIA MAGIC
  • Own and manage the social media calendar across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Plan, film, edit, and post creative content including Reels, TikToks, and engaging visuals
  • Write clever captions, compelling calls-to-action, and branded messaging
  • Engage with the online community — respond to DMs, comments, and build meaningful relationships
  • Stay on top of social trends and ensure the brand stays relevant and exciting
CONTENT THAT CONNECTS
  • Write blog posts, travel guides, newsletters, and destination-focused content
  • Collaborate with designers and marketers to tell inspiring, visual stories
  • Source and utilise user-generated content and guest stories for authentic messaging
EMAIL MARKETING THAT WOWS
  • Build and execute email campaigns that drive engagement and conversions
  • Segment audiences, A/B test campaigns, and analyse performance metrics
  • Assist with automated journeys that turn followers into loyal guests
Required Competencies
  • Have 2–4 years of experience in social media, digital content creation, or email marketing
  • Relevant Tourism experience
  • Are a sharp, witty copywriter with a warm, travel-loving tone
  • Know your way around Canva, Later, Meta Business Suite, SharpSpring (or similar tools)
  • Have an eye for good design, layout, and short-form video editing
  • Are self-motivated, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring positive energy to the team
  • Have a passion for travel, storytelling, and showcasing Africa’s beauty to the world
