Job Description: Junior Social Media Manager (with Graphic Design Skills)

Are you a social media unicorn who’s as organised as you are creative? Content Marketing ZA (CMZA) is a dynamic marketing agency based in Umhlanga, Durban. We specialise in digital marketing and social activations, and we’re looking for a Junior Social Media Manager to join our team in-house.

You’ll be responsible for managing content across social platforms, handling community engagement, and designing creative posts — with a lot of freedom to flex your ideas.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• • Scheduling and posting content for various clients across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and more

• • Community management – responding to comments, DMs and staying on top of engagement

• • Creating social-first content (design + video) in Canva that’s on-brand and on-trend

• • Working closely with our small (and fun) CMZA team on content strategy

• • Keeping content calendars updated and campaigns running smoothly

• • Sourcing and connecting with content creators for brand collaborations

You’re Right for This Role If:

• • You’re detail-oriented and love structure, timelines, and neat content plans

• • You’re also creative – you enjoy playing with visuals, editing videos, and writing catchy captions

• • You’re confident in Canva, and can show us some of your creative work

• • You’re plugged into TikTok, Instagram trends, and know what’s hot

• • You’re keen to learn, take feedback, and grow with a supportive team

• • Short courses in design or digital marketing

• • Any past experience managing content for brands or side projects

• • A great sense of humour (we love memes and banter)
