We're searching for a dynamic and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our Marketing team and elevate our brand's digital presence. This role combines strategic planning and analytics with high-quality content production, making it perfect for someone who's both an engaging storyteller and a savvy digital native.

This role is based at our office in Cape Town

About The Role

As our Social Media Coordinator, you'll be the voice of our brand online. Your main goal will be to engage our audience, grow our community, and drive brand awareness through highly resonant content. From concept to execution, you'll create thumb-stopping visuals and copy, manage publishing calendars, monitor trends, and optimise for performance across various channels.

The ideal candidate is digitally native, has a deep understanding of short-form and platform-specific content trends, and brings hands-on expertise in tools like Adobe Creative Suite and CapCut. You'll know exactly what it takes to craft stories that stop the scroll and can deliver them quickly and consistently.

You'll also contribute to our broader digital strategy by supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly content planning. This includes participating in campaign brainstorms, aligning with broader marketing objectives, and helping to set measurable goals that guide content production and engagement efforts.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across all relevant platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
  • Plan and execute content calendars in alignment with brand campaigns, marketing objectives, and cultural moments.
  • Conceptualise and produce engaging multimedia content — including short-form videos, reels, animations, static designs, stories, carousels, and copy — tailored for each platform.
  • Monitor social trends and platform changes to ensure content is relevant and competitive.
  • Engage with online communities: respond to messages, comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely and brand-aligned voice.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (design, marketing, customer service, etc.) and external partners (influencers, agencies) as needed.
  • Track content performance, analyse metrics, and produce monthly reports with actionable insights.
  • Coordinate influencer and brand partnership content rollouts as part of integrated campaigns.

Your Profile

  • You are deeply immersed in digital culture and fluent in the nuances of major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • 1–2+ years of hands-on experience managing social content calendars and publishing tools, with a strong understanding of performance metrics and KPIs.
  • You are a visual storyteller with solid skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and CapCut or similar mobile editing tools.
  • You are comfortable in front of the camera, as well as editing short and long-form content.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven ability to conceptualise, create, and deliver high-quality short-form content quickly and consistently.
  • You stay ahead of content trends, platform updates, and viral formats, and instinctively know what will resonate with a digital audience.
  • You're a proactive collaborator who's comfortable contributing to campaign ideation and aligning content with broader marketing goals.
  • You bring sharp copywriting skills and a distinct brand voice, with the ability to adapt tone and style across different platforms.
  • Bonus: Experience with influencer collaborations or community management is a plus.
