Job description

Our Client is a mixed-use property development in Cape Town combining office, retail, residential and leisure components in an integrated, stimulating and aesthetically pleasing urban environment.
They are looking for a Social Media and Online Co-ordinator who will co-ordinate and manage the multiple company brands online presence.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Coordinate and manage multiple company brands online presence.
  2. Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels.
  3. Oversee, plan, and deliver content across different platforms.
  4. Create engaging multimedia content.
  5. Develop, launch, and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote the organisation and brand.
  6. Form key beneficial relationships with companies across the social media platforms.
  7. Undertake audience research.
  8. Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions.
  9. Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms.
  10. Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques.
  11. Analyse competitor activity.
  12. Recommend improvements to increase performance.
  13. Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement.
  14. Work within the approved budget for social media activities.
  15. Encourage collaboration across teams and departments.
  16. Post press, images and update information on company websites and app.
  17. Seek and encourage interaction with other online brands and platforms to increase company presence.
  18. Assist with the coordination and organisation of all events.
  19. Provide assistance/support to the Brand and Marketing Manager.

  1. A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding and customers.
  2. Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform using effective storytelling techniques.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of algorithms and search engine optimisation.
  4. Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas.
  5. Strong communication and people skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clients.
  6. Excellent team working, collaboration and networking skills.
  7. Organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects.
  8. Project and campaign management skills.
  9. The ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
  10. Skills in data analysis and interpreting statistics.
  11. Online community management and customer service skills to strike the balance between publicity and stimulating direct discussion with potential and actual customers.
  12. An eye for detail and the ability to work accurately.
  13. Motivation and commitment.
  14. Own vehicle.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. At least 2 years online and social media digital marketing experience.
  2. Experience with relevant design and social media programs:
    1. Canva
    2. Mailchimp
    3. Scheduling programs such as Later.com
    4. Analytics and Reporting
    5. All social media platforms
    6. Google my business
    7. WordPress
