Job description

We are looking for a Senior Social-First Account Manager. Ogilvy Social.Lab is seeking a candidate with a strong digital background, specializing in a social-first approach, to manage organic social deliverables and develop relationships with our Verizon International client. This role involves meticulous planning and follow-up.

Crucial to this position is a comprehensive understanding and deep appreciation of social media dynamics, including in-depth knowledge of the main features, advantages, and limitations across major social platforms.

The role requires close collaboration with our strategy, creative, and production teams to deliver best-in-class content.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive organic social media strategies tailored to their objectives, target audience, and budget.
  2. Act as the client's trusted advisor by providing strategic guidance with insights into social media, particularly B2B, and best practices for performance, offering opinions about briefs and work, and contributing proactively.
  3. Manage the curation and development of content, focusing on B2B LinkedIn strategies.
  4. Ensure alignment among creative teams, traffic managers, production managers, and clients throughout projects to meet deadlines and coordinate workflows.
  5. Lead client projects and be responsible for their daily management, while building strong relationships and fostering team spirit within the agency.
  6. Coordinate digital projects, especially organic social media, from briefing to delivery, including budget follow-up and planning.
  7. Monitor content performance and effectiveness continuously, leveraging research and data insights.
  8. Achieve and maintain client satisfaction by balancing client and agency needs.
  9. Address difficulties and find solutions during projects, keeping your line manager informed.
  10. Manage or coach junior account staff as necessary.
  11. Oversee the agency's billing system, ensuring accurate invoicing, PO issuance, and financial oversight.

With a clear understanding of financial forecasting and client overview, you will ensure work is produced efficiently, on time, and within budget. You should possess thorough knowledge of agency systems and procedures, including planning and review processes.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects and client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A minimum of 4 years specializing in social media account management, preferably extending to 8 years in a client service environment.
  • Experience in B2B organic social media, with knowledge of LinkedIn, is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, features, algorithms, and content optimization best practices.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skillful project management abilities.
