City of Ekurhuleni invites applications for a professional valuer to compile the valuation roll under MPRAA and support equitable rates administration. The ideal candidate holds a National Diploma in Property Valuation or related field (NQF 6), is registered as Professional Associated Valuer or Professional Valuer with SACPVP, and has 3–5 years of experience in a property valuation environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Compile the valuation roll for implementation in terms of the Municipal Property Rates Act Amendment 6 of 2004
• Proper communication, control, training, and development of the valuation personnel subordinate to comply with relevant legislation stipulated by COGTA and MPRAA
• Implement and advise on strategic capability and leadership to ensure that divisional / sectional goals and objectives are met
• Perform operational processes to ensure that work outputs are achieved within agreed deadlines and standards
• Ensure governance and risk management to ensure compliance to legislation and minimise risk
• Perform financial processes to comply to relevant financial legislation including the MFMA
• Provide customer service orientation to promote and maintain client satisfaction
