Job Summary

To contribute towards Absa Home Loans business profitability by achieving contracted sales targets and delivering customer service excellence. To facilitate intermediary services by selling HOC insurance to customers under customer engagement.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales targets, including conversion rates on direct channels and digital platforms, and meet production, retention, and cross-selling goals for quoted bonds, insurable bonds, and life insurance.
  • Drive non-transactional to transactional conversions, e.g., opening cheque accounts (target: 10 per month).
  • Maintain control of the business by ensuring no repeat audit findings, preventable operational issues, and fraud; adhere to compliance training; and avoid recurring failures in authentication and disclaimers.
  • Participate in daily connect sessions to share best practices and improve work processes.
  • Make quote calls to customers; manage business improvement projects to enhance operations and ensure compliance training is 100% complete throughout the year.
  • Support business needs by assisting where required, filling gaps, and being available for support.

Colleague Experience:

  • Respond to client queries within 4 hours.
  • Reduce customer complaints by resolving queries effectively.
  • Manage turnaround times, informing clients of withdrawals if responses are delayed beyond 5 days.
  • Aim for zero service failures annually.
  • Escalate issues promptly when applications are off track.
  • Identify colleagues to assist during leave and ensure all Out of SLA (OOSLA) issues are addressed.
  • Maintain quality customer routing files daily to avoid audit findings.
  • Complete CCC actions within 5 days and QCR files on the same day.
  • Ensure applications are fit for processing within SLA and action all sales force cases timely, applying the 'today’s work today' methodology.

Education and Experience:

  • B Degree or equivalent required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales environment.

Education

Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) preferred.
