Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and experienced Sales Specialist who thrives on building trusted relationships with CFOs and senior decision-makers. The successful candidate must have strong communication and analytical skills, a deep understanding of client needs, and the ability to manage the end-to-end sales and onboarding process.
This role requires a confident self-starter with excellent record keeping, reporting, and regulatory compliance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Sales

  • Proactively source leads and build a strong sales pipeline.

  • Engage directly with CFOs and executive stakeholders to explore insurance needs and present tailored solutions.

  • Drive sales of trade credit insurance in line with company goals.

  • Facilitate and manage the full quoting process, ensuring all data and documentation is collected.

Client Support & Policy Servicing

  • Conduct policy onboarding, training, and ongoing client education.

  • Maintain complete and accurate records including meeting minutes, policy documentation, and client correspondence.

  • Provide specialist support on policy terms and regulatory obligations.

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources to support business development and client servicing.

  • Identify patterns, trends, and insights to inform decision-making and client engagement strategies.

Reporting & Insights

  • Lead the development of internal and external reports with actionable insights.

  • Develop content and materials tailored to a variety of stakeholders and audiences.

Compliance & Best Practices

  • Ensure compliance with FAIS regulations and internal procedures.

  • Monitor activity and resolve non-compliance issues as required.

  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge through CPD and regulatory updates.

Relationship Management

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with key client accounts.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for designated accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

  • Gather and report client feedback to enhance the overall offering.

Team Collaboration & Capability Building

  • Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to the team's development.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on product and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • FAIS Accredited – Must meet regulatory fit and proper requirements.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or NQF Level 7 Equivalent in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in B2B sales, with a track record of engaging senior stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, record keeping, and report writing abilities.

  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry is advantageous
