Snr Manager : Finance Business Partner

To support and inform BCX's strategic and operational decision-making through financial insights that drive optimum financial performance and value creation and achieve financial targets within the specific business area.

Apply sound financial decision making and reporting principles, with the aim of accounting for all business activities, safeguarding all assets and improving return on investment and profitability.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

1. Present a dynamic understanding and interpretation of the performance of business area within the industry to inform and influence key operational and strategic decisions in the business.
2. Develop a framework that provides financial analysis, support, and guidance to designated areas of business to improve the accuracy of financial data and systems.
3. Deliver strategic financial analysis and advice to senior leaders, meeting BCX's business information needs and boosting the capacity for financial data-based decision making across the organisation by developing and establishing metrics and targets that facilitate optimal financial performance for the division.
4. Provide financial decision-making support through proper financial information reporting, analysis, and other insight in the respective business space.
5. Identify and implement initiatives to improve processes within the business area, and deliver business growth objectives.
6. Ensure the implementation and monitoring of compliance with accounting principles, laws, industry and company standards and policies.
7. Ensure risk management and governance.
8. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of business strategies, building effective working relationships with the senior leadership team to enable the delivery of useful, relevant, and informed financial planning, analysis, reporting and advisory services.

Minimum Qualifications

• NQF 6 : 3 year Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Accounting OR NQF 4 : Grade 12

Experience

• 7 years' experience in accounting, of which 2 years at a senior level OR Grade 12 & 9 years' experience of which at least 2 years on management level.

Certifications

• Accounting body (e.g. SAICA, SAIPA) and CIMA
