Snr Hardware Engineer - Test Engineering

We have a vacancy for a Senior Hardware Engineer in the Test Engineering Group. This position requires someone who is familiar with test systems and hardware development in the military and avionics development environments, with expert knowledge on the design and integration of test systems.

Your role

The ideal candidate should be able to perform the following tasks:

1. Provide inputs to project plan, SOW and estimated labour for a test bench development project
2. Derive lower-level test bench hardware requirements
3. Perform the high-level architectural design of a test bench
4. Perform the detail design and create the manufacturing baseline
5. Lead schedule, procurement and assembly functions
6. Coordinate the mechanical design and assembly drawings
7. Coordinate and participate in integration, test and qualification activities of the test bench
8. Create and maintain documentation according to the test bench development process
9. Configuration and version control of the baselines
10. Fault finding, repair and maintenance support on the test benches
11. Perform technical team leader functions as required

Your profile

Specialist Knowledge Required:

1. 10+ Years’ on test system development and electronic circuit design
2. 5+ Years' on test equipment and unit under test integration
3. Knowledge of National Instruments and other general test equipment
4. MW and RF related test equipment
5. Signal integrity concepts on interfaces between test equipment and the unit under test
6. Electronic hardware design
7. Schematic capturing and PCB layout will be an advantage
8. C# development skills will be advantageous

Additional Requirements:

1. Experience in engineering and testing procedures
2. Deep understanding of electronic circuits and equipment function
3. Fault finding and repair experience
4. Requirements analysis and writing
5. Digital and general analog electronic design
6. Technical team leader experience

Qualification:

B.Eng Degree (Electronics) or similar
