Brief Description
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the administration of first year mathematics and applied mathematics established courses.
- Develop, maintain and quality assure efficient administrative and workflow processes and document management procedures aligned to university requirements.
- Train administrative officers in administrative processes and procedures to be used in AMPLIFY and monitor and quality assure their work.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between AMPLIFY, academic staff and service and support units in the University to access requirements and address problems.
- Manage all financial aspects of AMPLIFY, including processing payment requests and monitoring spending against the budget.
Qualifications
- A relevant Bachelors (NQF level 7) degree or equivalent.
- Five years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of front office roles and functions, preferably in a higher education environment.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting processes.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles.
- High level of computer literacy, particularly in working with MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint, and electronic document management systems.
- Ability to use a variety of online systems to accomplish administrative tasks, such as those related to procurement, approvals, human resources related activities, course activities (Learning Management System), and marks submissions.
- Ability to design and continually enhance workflow processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage a number of activities in parallel.
- Ability to plan well in advance.
- Excellent time management, including strict adherence to deadlines.
- Fluent, precise, technically accurate and correct use of written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with diverse staff and students.
