Job Description

The client seeks a seasoned and mature Legal Secretary / PA who brings extensive experience and sound judgment to the role, to join their dynamic team temporarily until January 2026. You will be supporting the Director of the firm, who is a Labour & Employment Law specialist; however, the firm operates as a general practice.

You will be responsible for
  • Typing of all Labour Court–related documentation and litigation materials
  • Drafting and formatting mass commercial agreements for corporate clients and organizations
  • Assisting in typing and formatting lengthy forensic reports
  • Dictaphone typing and transcription of arbitration recordings
  • Drafting own correspondence and legal support documents
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations and Excel flowcharts to monitor agreement signatures
  • Liaising directly with CEOs and senior management of corporate clients
  • Working independently with minimal supervision
  • Setting up appointments and managing calendars
  • Creating templates for internal and external use
  • Assisting with IT-related matters and troubleshooting
  • Arranging functions and designing invitations for events and special occasions
  • Coordinating travel arrangements and logistics
  • Screening calls and managing front-line communication
  • General office management, including maintaining sick leave records, staff files and leave tracking
Qualifications
  • Senior Paralegal Diploma or equivalent legal secretarial certification
  • Matric with strong results in business-related subjects
  • Additional certifications in legal office administration, IT, or compliance are beneficial

The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organized, proactive and capable of managing complex legal documentation, executive support tasks and general office coordination with minimal supervision and possess the following:
