Type : Contract Position

A leading engineering company based in Springs is seeking a dynamic and experienced Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) to support a project-based initiative focused on technical training and apprenticeship programmes. This role is pivotal in aligning workforce development with organisational objectives and legislative compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage apprenticeship and skills development programmes in line with industry standards and SETA requirements.
  • Engage with SETAs, QCTO, and other regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance and optimal funding opportunities.
  • Compile and submit Workplace Skills Plans (WSPs) and Annual Training Reports (ATRs).
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of learnerships and artisan training programmes.
  • Coordinate and track employee training, mentoring, and upskilling initiatives.
  • Conduct training needs analysis in collaboration with line managers and HR.
  • Maintain updated records of training interventions, learner progression, and programme outcomes.
  • A relevant qualification in Human Resource Development, Education or related field.
  • Proven experience in establishing and managing apprenticeship programmes, ideally within the engineering or technical sector.
  • Sound understanding of skills development legislation (Skills Development Act, B-BBEE, SETA processes).
  • Strong administrative and reporting skills, with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
