Job description

Job Functions :

We are seeking a transformation specialist responsible for Employment Equity and skills development within the group. The core duties include enabling equity, equal opportunities, and employee development.

Job Responsibilities :

  1. Define, own, and lead Employment Equity initiatives aligned with the group EE strategy.
  2. Conduct EE-related consultations and implement initiatives to achieve EE Strategy and Targets.
  3. Monitor engagement activities in accordance with EEA and EE Strategy.
  4. Prepare EE reports in EEA formats and lead meetings for annual EE submissions alongside the Skills Development Manager, HR Managers, and HR Director.
  5. Perform operational duties such as reporting, analysis, insights, and meeting Functional Targets related to EEA requirements.
  6. Regularly review and improve EE processes, including administrative systems and procedures.
  7. Ensure data accuracy through checks and sample audits.
  8. Collaborate with HR Practitioners on development plans to support EE targets and strategy.
  9. Track employee development and workplace profile statistics for EE purposes.
  10. Manage EE data in compliance with the EEA.
  11. Reconcile data across systems to ensure accuracy.
  12. Advise and influence functional Directors regarding EE status and gaps.
  13. Manage relationships with the Department of Labour, including reporting and staying updated on new developments.
  14. Maintain awareness of reward practices compared to competitors and market trends.
  15. Support Talent Management, Succession Planning, Organization Design, and Development analytics across the group.

Key Responsibilities (Skills Development Specialist):

  1. Develop operational and tactical plans implementing Bluespec Group Skills Development policies.
  2. Consult with the business to implement effective Learning and Development solutions.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  4. Compile monthly Learning and Development reports.
  5. Advise senior management on skills development strategies and practices.
  6. Assess individual and organizational development needs.
  7. Partner with HR to align Skills Development initiatives with talent management and succession planning.
  8. Implement various learning methods such as Learnerships, Apprenticeships, Skills Programmes, Coaching, Mentorship, and Online Training.
  9. Ensure compliance with SETA requirements to maximize grant opportunities.
  10. Identify training needs through performance reviews and skills gap analyses.
  11. Coordinate and compile the annual workplace skills plan and training report in line with SETA and BBBEE initiatives.
