Job summary

Zohorecruit in Germiston, South Africa seeks a skilled Welder to join its workshop team. The Welder will weld fabricated components according to job cards and drawings to meet specifications and quality requirements, ensuring accurate workmanship.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of fabrication/welding experience, be able to read engineering drawings, and hold a trade-tested welding certification. You will select processes and settings, inspect welds, maintain equipment and keep clear records

Qualifications

• 2–3 years welding experience in fabrication or workshop.
• Able to read engineering drawings, job cards and specifications.
• Trade-tested welder or relevant welding certification.

Responsibilities

• Weld components according to job card and drawings to meet specifications and quality requirements.
• Select welding process, consumables and settings for material and joint type.
• Inspect welds for penetration, finish and dimensional accuracy; grind and clean as required.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment; monitor consumable stock and report faults.
• Record jobs completed and materials used; sign off completed job cards.
• Maintain health, safety and housekeeping; wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
