Quality checks current projects by setting out, levelling and surveying the sites to specification tolerance to ensure accurate project construction as per the original plans:
Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
Check works information for dimensional or design conflicts and errors, and advise relevant consultants of discrepancies
Ensure that the design is checked and set out ahead of the construction team
Interpret drawings and extrapolate additional setting out points from drawings and specifications
Map the onsite measurements
Search legal records, survey records, and land titles in order to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed
Verify and refer back to design once the setting-out is complete
Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites
Ensure accuracy of work:
Ensure that the measures are completed to the required quality standards
Identify potential risks and evaluate and implement control measures to ensure alignment to the original specifications
Notify CM, QS of discrepancies and potential cost implication
Identify risks proactively in order to avoid unnecessary delays or costs to the project
Ensure stringent administration procedures and document management practices
Gather information and produces monthly progress reports and associated quality check sheets and present to relevant stakeholders
Build and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders:
Ensure good communication with the following stakeholders, Contracts Manager and staff during all interactions
Ensure that the company’s image is maintained in all interactions
Attend to all queries in a professional manner and communicates feedback to relevant stakeholders
Communicate with site management and workforce to interpret and apply setting out and levelling
Ensure effective conflict resolution and responds to any complaints / concerns timeously
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planes, quantity Site Surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
