SITE SUPERVISOR/Millwright

Automated racking and shelving specialists seek a physically and medically fit Site Supervisor, with solid management experience, who is a Trade Tested Electrician with PLC PROGRAMMING experience to install and manage the installation of automated racking and shelving on sites around Cape Town. Must have PLC PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Liaise with clients, to maintain and improve service levels
Perform site inspections independently and report findings
Do repairs and maintenance of new and existing systems
Manage and plan new installations
Respond to breakdowns
Train assistants as well as supervise assistants, as and when necessary
Travel outside of Cape Town on short notice
Job-specific requirements:
Have recognizable technical qualifications
Minimum 5 years working experience as a RED SEAL Electrician
Solid PLC programming experience is non-negotiable
Be experienced in fault-finding
must be able to work unsupervised
Problem-solving ability
Must be physically and medically fit and able, to work in the cold at -20° Celsius, for varying lengths of time Can work at heights
Be able to read drawings (experience in reading electrical drawings is advantageous)
Be prepared to work weekends, if and when required
Be disciplined and pay attention to detail
following procedures is of utmost importance
Ability to perform administrative duties, such as the completion of breakdown and planned work by a technical job card system, writing reports following inspections, drawing up quotes, etc.
Be able to complete project work, by project schedules
Have the ability to work with a diverse cultural mix of people
Valid Code EC or EC1 driver's license Valid and updated passport

A company bakkie will be available for company use only (attending to call-outs, sites, etc)
A laptop, PPE, and all other tools/equipment needed will be provided.
Successful employment will depend on clear medical, criminal, and credit checks.
Working hours will be 07h30 16h30 Monday to Thursdays & 07h30 14h00 on Fridays
Solid PLC programming experience is non-negotiable.
