PACKHOUSE MANAGER (Agriculture) - Kimberley

Lucrative package on offer!!! Our client, who is a leading player in the agricultural industry and packages fresh produce for the domestic and export markets, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Packhouse Manager to join their team of professionals.

If you are passionate about the agricultural industry, possess strong business acumen, leadership skills, and technical flair, then this role is for you!

You will be responsible for managing the overall day-to-day operations of the packhouse (+ / - 450 staff).

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Leading, developing, and managing the packing team and packhouse.
  2. Planning and managing all packaging activities to ensure well-equipped packing and storage facilities.
  3. Optimal management of equipment and operational processes.
  4. Managing finances for maximum profitability in product packaging.
  5. Ensuring that the washing, grading, processing, packaging, and processing of products are in accordance with Globalgap standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. An appropriate degree in General and/or Logistics Management and/or related fields.
  2. 8-10 years relevant Packhouse Management experience gained within the Agriculture/Horticulture/FMCG is required.
  3. Proven management track record in leading a medium to large size packhouse team is essential.
  4. Working knowledge of Globalgap standards.
  5. Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
  6. Willingness to work shifts.
