About the Role
Sante Biomedicals is seeking a hands-on and results-driven Site Supervisor to oversee on-site waste
management operations, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily waste management operations (collection, transportation, segregation, and disposal) on assigned sites
• Enforce compliance with OHS standards, site safety rules, and environmental protocols
• Coordinate and monitor contractor and staff performance on-site
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and incident investigations
• Maintain accurate site records including work permits, incident logs, and attendance registers
• Communicate operational needs and escalate issues to the Contract Manager
• Ensure all waste handling equipment is operated and maintained safely
• Support continuous improvement in site efficiency and safety performance
Qualifications & Experience
• Must have a Senior Certificate or Higher in Management qualification (NQF5)
• Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in waste management, environmental services, or related field
• Must have valid Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) certification
• Strong understanding of site safety requirements and relevant South African regulations
• Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
