Responsibilities
Site Supervisor
The tasks of the Site Security Supervisor include and are not limited to the following:
- Implement the Site Security Plan to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to PepsiCo’s associates, facilities, proprietary information, and brand/reputation, in line with the broader country strategy.
- Be part of the Site Crisis Management Team, executing security functions as part of the Business Continuity Plans.
- Ensure premises compliance with the Site security plan (technological, procedural, manned guarding, architectural).
- Maintain strong working relationships with local management teams and provide security consultation.
- Plan and oversee periodic security self-assessments and bi-annual security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement security enhancements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with national and local security, emergency response, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities, as well as security managers of other large multinational companies.
- Ensure compliance with PepsiCo AMESA Security Risk Management System and related standards and procedures.
- Assist in security awareness and training programs for PepsiCo associates and security personnel.
- Advise and assist during security incidents, providing on-the-spot risk assessments and security advice to site leaders.
- Support the Area Security Manager/Asst Area Security Manager in security planning to strengthen supply chain protection.
- Conduct and coordinate investigations into counterfeit, extortion, product contamination, loss reduction, kidnapping, robberies, fraud, corruption, and security threats.
- Provide training during strike operations or labor disputes to security guards and employees.
- Oversee security guard companies, evaluate their performance monthly, and manage KPIs.
- Manage the security team’s professional development and succession planning.
- Implement all Security Policies, Plans, and Site SOPs.
- Report incidents immediately and compile reports according to Security Policies.
- Review CCTV recordings daily for irregularities.
- Support EHS with evidence collection during safety incidents.
Qualifications
What will qualify you for the role:
Key Competencies:
- Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business environment.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience, including at least 3 years in security within the private sector (preferably industrial sectors).
- Knowledge of best security practices, principles, and objectives.
- Refined interpersonal skills.
- Security PSIRA (Grade A) qualification.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to operate in challenging environments and be available 24/7.
- Excellent organizational skills for prioritization and meeting deadlines in a multi-task environment.
- Good decision-making and leadership skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to operate in a VUCA environment.
- Rehearsed in Crisis Management Procedures.
- Basic knowledge of investigations and experience in conducting them.
- 3 years experience as a Security Site Supervisor.
- Basic knowledge and training in HSE.
