Job description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to lead site operations and installations in the mining industry. This role is based in Thabazimbi and will be on a contract basis for the duration of the project . It is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-site ensuring safety efficiency and quality standards are consistently met.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing installation projects from the ground up coordinating with cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations at the mining site and ensure project timelines are adhered to.
• Manage the installation process and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead and supervise site staff contractors and technical teams.
• Liaise with clients engineers and project managers to ensure expectations are aligned and deliverables are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections and enforce safety protocols.
• Manage inventory materials and site resources efficiently.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and implement timely solutions.

Requirements

• A recognized trade qualification .
• Minimum of 5 years experience in site management or a supervisory role in the mining or heavy industrial sector .
• Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven track record in managing installation projects on active mining sites.
• Excellent understanding of health safety and environmental compliance.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to demanding site conditions.
• Valid driver s license and willingness to travel to remote sites if required.
