Job summary

Hire Resolve's client seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead North-West site operations, plant performance and resource management. You will drive productivity, safety, quality and continuous improvement while coordinating with maintenance and client stakeholders.

The role requires a degree or diploma in engineering or operations management and at least five years in site management, with strong budgeting and cost-control capabilities. North-West based, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering/Operations Management or related technical field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in plant, production or site management
• Experience with site costing, budgeting and cost control
• Strong knowledge of fixed and mobile plant and operational performance
• Ability to drive safety, quality and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily plant and site operations to achieve production and operational targets
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where required
• Ensure optimal utilisation of plant, equipment, materials and workforce
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
• Apply technical knowledge of fixed plant equipment including conveyors, gearboxes, pumps
• Oversee maintenance programmes for fixed and mobile plant assets
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise disruptions to production
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead incident investigations
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders

Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their company based in North-West.You will be responsible for leading site operations, plant performance, people and resources while driving productivity, efficiency, safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily plant and site operations to achieve production and operational targets.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure optimal utilisation of plant, equipment, materials and workforce.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Apply technical knowledge of fixed plant equipment, including conveyor systems, gearboxes, pumps and related processing equipment.
• Oversee the effective utilisation of mobile plant and equipment.
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Monitor the condition and performance of fixed and mobile plant assets and ensure appropriate maintenance interventions are implemented.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimise disruptions to production and maximise equipment availability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Manage client requirements relating to operational performance, production, service delivery and site matters.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in plant, production or site management
• Proven business and commercial acumen
• Experience with site costing, budgeting and cost control
• Strong knowledge of fixed and mobile plant and operational performance
• Strong knowledge of production processes, maintenance planning and operational best practices
