Job summary

Oneconnect is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong electrical construction background to own site operations from planning through testing, commissioning and close-out. You will manage site teams, contractors and budget while ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance on projects in Gauteng.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years’ relevant electrical construction/site management experience and a formal electrical qualification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical construction/site management.
• Proven track record managing electrical sites/projects.
• Diploma/degree or trade qualification in electrical engineering advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of OHS, SHEQ and construction regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead site teams, contractors and subcontractors to deliver projects.
• Develop, monitor and update construction programmes.

Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Site Manager with a strong electrical construction background to take ownership of site operations and successfully deliver projects from planning through to testing, commissioning and close-out
Manage and coordinate electrical construction sites and project activities.

• Lead site teams, contractors and subcontractors.
• Develop, monitor and update construction programmes.
• Ensure compliance with OHS, construction regulations and SHEQ requirements.
• Manage safety files, risk assessments, inductions, PPE and medical requirements.
• Monitor labour, materials and site expenditure against budgets.
• Coordinate QCPs, hold/witness points, testing, commissioning and snag-list completion.
• Ensure work meets required electrical, safety and quality standards.
• Manage construction documentation, variations, timesheets and site resources.
• Liaise with customers and ensure contractual requirements are achieved.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in electrical construction/site management.
• Proven experience managing electrical construction sites/projects.
• Relevant Electrical Engineering / Electrical qualification (Diploma, Degree, Trade qualification or equivalent) advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of OHS, SHEQ and construction requirements.
• Experience managing site teams, contractors, programmes and budgets.
• Good understanding of electrical construction standards, QCPs, testing and commissioning.
• Strong leadership, planning and communication skills.
