Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Civil Engineer to serve as a Site Supervisor for construction projects in the Soweto area. This hands-on role focuses on daily on-site execution, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules.

You will coordinate with the design team, contractors, and project management to resolve issues promptly and keep projects on track. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, at least 4 years of site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of site supervision experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site civil engineering construction activities.
• Ensure construction work complies with approved plans, specs and safety standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, QC checks, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate the work of subcontractors and labor on site.
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly to minimize delays.
• Maintain accurate site records, including logs, incident reports and material usage.
