Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of mine sites, equipment, and procedures at Pietermaritzburg sites.
• Identify hazards, unsafe conditions and non-compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans to address safety gaps.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; prepare reports and recommend preventative measures.
• Deliver safety training programs and toolbox talks to workers and management on safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, training and safety-related incidents.
