Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
  • PSIRA Grade A / B registered.
  • Valid Driver’s License with own reliable transport.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in the Mining Security Sector.
  • Knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency for Business Purposes.
  • Health and Safety experience.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Computer literacy with expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Strong planning, administration, interpersonal, and client liaison skills.
  • Leadership and organizational skills, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of Security Management statutory requirements and dynamics.
  • No criminal record or pending cases.
  • Medically fit.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain good relations with clients regarding security services.
  • Manage allocated areas to meet contractual requirements.
  • Ensure security officers on site meet contractual standards.
  • Evaluate service levels and recommend improvements, including risk assessments.
  • Supervise security staff to meet performance standards.
  • Coordinate with management and regional management on operational issues.
  • Handle HR queries and disciplinary actions promptly.
  • Submit reports to clients and head office timely.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly incident and general reports.
  • Investigate incidents and report findings.
  • Plan proactively for various sites and clients.
