Description

  • Participate in delivering excellent customer service by accurately and promptly allocating work to the showroom administration team and tracking progress to enable management to access relevant information for performance management.

What you will love doing in this role

Operations Administration

  • Engage with showroom regional and managers to understand and set stock priorities and assign tasks accordingly.
  • Coordinate with showroom managers to understand resource allocation for tasks to ensure proper distribution of work.
  • Collaborate with showroom managers and stockroom clerks to plan and produce daily work forecasts based on tasks and priorities, establishing daily goals at individual and task levels.
  • Track operational metrics such as count progress and liquidation, escalating performance issues to the line manager.
  • Manage timelines for counts and liquidation controls.
  • Follow up with couriers to ensure delivery of stock to the distribution center.
  • Execute ad hoc tasks as required by the business.
  • Manage task aging in the inventory department and ensure closure within SLA.
  • Develop system knowledge to troubleshoot first-line issues for staff and escalate system-related problems to WMS analysts for resolution.
  • Provide data and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly requirements.
  • Monitor team performance to maximize departmental efficiency.

Administration

  • Ensure timely and accurate administration of departmental trackers related to people and operations, including attendance, leave, performance, and efficiency data.
  • Record and manage meeting minutes and ensure timely closure.
  • Assist in the signing off of timesheets by providing relevant data and inputs.

Health & Safety

  • Identify hazards and take steps to eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Be aware of health & safety hazards and trained to perform duties safely.
  • Participate in occupational health and safety matters and elect safety representatives.
  • Share a commitment to health and safety and comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Use safety equipment properly and only perform work within your scope of authority.
  • Report injuries, hazards, and incidents promptly.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe workplace environment.

Environmental Responsibility

  • Protect the environment by complying with relevant regulations and promoting sustainable practices.
  • Participate in environmental emergency plans and responsible waste disposal.

Requirements

What you'll need to do this role

  • Completed Grade 12 / Matric (Diploma advantageous)
  • 2 years' experience in a Distribution Centre
  • 1 year in a supervisory role
  • 1 year in warehouse administration
  • Clear criminal record
