Job description

We are seeking a Shopping Centre Manager to ensure the overall effective management and development of specific property assets, including the achievement of specified growth and profitability objectives and management of subordinates and property teams.

To provide input and execute the property strategies related to the specific property.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible across all centre operations such as retail space management, marketing, leasing, health and safety, and maintenance.
  2. Strategic Management and Execution:
    • Providing input regarding a business strategy that is property asset specific, including leasing, marketing, and operational targets.
    • Monitor the implementation of operational action plans in line with the strategic objectives of the business.
    • Report progress to relevant stakeholders on a timely basis, highlighting risk, mitigations, and corrective measures.
  3. Risk and Compliance Management:
    • Overseeing risk management reviews by analyzing the regional leasing portfolio's strategic and operational performance.
    • Ensure compliance with systems, policies, processes, and controls.
  4. Property Asset Management:
    • Collaborate with the Regional Leasing Manager to ensure profitability and growth of the business.
    • Negotiate leasing deals with new and existing tenants, maintaining high occupancy levels.
  5. People Management:
    • Fill vacancies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to staff.
    • Ensure succession plans are in place for all key positions within the department.
  6. Relationship Management:
    • Liaise with external consultants regarding strategic initiatives or projects.
    • Regularly engage with tenants and customers to improve satisfaction and experiences.
  7. Budgeting:
    • Provide input into income & expense budgets based on knowledge of the property market.
    • Manage income & expenses and implement cost reduction measures.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Degree in Business Commerce, Business Administration, or Real Estate Management.
  2. 5 - 7 years of retail property management experience.
  3. 3 - 5 years as General Manager of a Super Regional / Regional shopping centre.
  4. 2 – 4 years in project management planning, development/redevelopment.
