Job Purpose
To effectively coach and lead the team in achieving goals by developing their skills to meet required results.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Shoppers and Drivers to ensure flawless service delivery.
- Conduct spot checks on uniforms, orders, staff attendance, and adherence to processes.
- Report on adherence and staff attendance.
- Problem-solve daily operational issues with an analytical approach.
- Support the team on projects for operational efficiency and growth.
- Provide operational insights on logistics to ensure best practices.
- Manage daily team activities to meet KPIs, especially on-time fulfillment.
- Prepare daily and weekly KPI reports.
- Train and develop staff.
- Consistently apply internal procedures.
- Balance personal objectives with organizational needs flexibly.
Staff Management
- Allocate schedules to ensure effective management.
- Hold regular staff meetings to motivate and communicate.
- Ensure punctuality of staff.
- Facilitate training for service delivery improvement.
- Manage queries from staff and head office.
- Identify and address training needs.
Customer and Query Management
- Assist with shopper and driver queries.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints.
- Report unresolved issues to the Area Manager.
- Investigate shopper queries.
Reporting and Performance
- Provide weekly feedback on staff performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on various performance metrics.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Eligible to work in South Africa.
- Valid South African driver's license or PrDP with a clean record.
- Own a vehicle or motorbike with registration documents.
- Access to a recent smartphone (iPhone 5 / Android 4.4 or newer).
- 2-3 years of Team Leader experience.
