Château Gâteaux in Sandton is seeking a friendly, customer-focused store associate to join our team. You will perform basic food preparation, slice baked goods, take orders accurately, and assist customers with menu information while processing payments.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate stock takes, maintaining a clean work environment, providing high levels of customer service to encourage retention, and participating in training to grow with the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing basic food preparation tasks such as cutting slices, making hot and cold beverages as well as packaging it accordingly to the company standards.
• Taking orders accurately from customers and providing them with additional information about menu items if required.
• Preparing baked products and packaging it according to the company standards.
• Handling cash registers and processing payments from customers.
• Provide high level of Customer Service in Store ensuring customer retention.
• Maintaining a clean work environment by adopting clean as you go practices inside and surrounding areas of the Store.
• Participating in training activities to improve service skills and knowledge of products
• Conduct accurate daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes as required by the Store Management.
• Effective communication to customers about new & existing products, other stores, online services and the company Loyalty App.
