Job summary

HEINEKEN Beverages’ Springs site is inviting applications for a Permanent position in the Supply Chain, Manufacturing discipline. The role reports to the Shift Team Leader and centers on maintaining and improving equipment performance on production lines.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant trade certificate (Fitter/Turner or Mechanical Engineering), with 3-5 years FMCG experience, and be able to work shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• N3-N6 equivalent with Trade Certificate - Fitter and/or Turner, Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in a high-speed, high-tech bottling operation is advantageous
• Completed apprenticeship with a recognized institution
• 3-5 years relevant FMCG experience
• Ability to work under pressure with good attention to detail
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, innovative and able to work with limited supervision
• Reflects good leadership behavior towards colleagues, superiors and company values
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required

Responsibilities

• Maintain machinery and equipment on site per required standards
• Maintain and repair site equipment
• Adhere to Planned and Preventative maintenance schedules
• Improve OEE on production lines
• Reduce unplanned downtime
• Health and Safety supervision of machinery, equipment and working environment
• Compliance with OHS Act
• Provide an effective Engineering service to the Production department
• Perform administrative tasks (job cards, quality check sheets, etc.)
• Perform stand-in duties
• Lead and supervise people
• Participate in TPM empowering excellence

Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based at Supply Chain, Springs. The successful candidate will report to the Shift Team Leader.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining machinery and equipment on the site per required to be standard.
• Maintaining and repairing site equipment.

• 3-5 relevant working experience in the FMCG
• Ability to work under pressure and display good attention to detail.
• Proven ability in problem solving and knowledge of the various problem-solving methods.
• Must be self‑motivated, innovative and able to work without or limited supervision.
• To reflect good leadership behavior - towards colleagues, superior and company values
• Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required.
