Job summary

Heineken Beverages is seeking an electrician to join the Engineering department at Wadeville Production. The role focuses on fault finding, electrical maintenance, and installation work across motors, pumps and control panels in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The candidate should have Matric and Electrician trade papers, 1–3 years of FMCG experience, and familiarity with S7 and high-speed machinery. Willingness to work shifts and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Matric and recognised Electrician trade certificate.
• 1–3 years relevant experience in FMCG electrical/automation.
• Experience with bottling machinery advantageous.
• Familiar with S7 and high‑speed machinery.
• Self‑motivated, innovative and able to work with limited supervision.
• Support business improvements and achieve operational goals.
• Good communication at all levels.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Reading and understanding electrical drawings in a plant environment.
• Fault finding, maintenance of electrical motors, pumps, control panels and distribution boards to required standards.
• Knowledge of sensor control, VSD, HMI, switch gear, AC motors and relay logic.
• Basic understanding of PLC input/outputs.
• Repairs of production machinery including site related electrical work.
• Adhere to safety procedures and OHS Act.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Contribute to mini business operating activities.

Heineken Beverages has an exciting opportunity available to a suitable candidate for potential placement in our Engineering department. This position will be based at Wadeville Production.

Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):

• Reading and understanding of electrical drawings in a plant environment
• Methodical fault finding / detection and maintenance of electrical motors, pumps, control panels and distribution boards to required standards,
• Excellent working knowledge of sensor control, VSD, HMI, switch gear, AC motors, relay logic, temperature controllers, industrial instrumentation, etc.
• Basic understanding of PLC input/outputs
• Repairs of production machinery including site related electrical work.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, policies, and regulations - total compliance OHS Act
• Excellent housekeeping
• Active involvement in mini business operating activities.

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• Matric and Trade Certificate - Electrician
• 1-3 years relevant working experience in the FMCG electrical / automation environment
• Working experience with bottling machinery will be a distinct advantage.
• Familiar with S7 and high-speed machinery
• Must be self-motivated, innovative, and able to work without or limited supervision.
• Support business improvements, operational and segment goals
• Able to work and cope under pressure and make decision where necessary.
• Possess good communication skills on all levels.
